Additionally, there are two ways to connect both devices. In the first method, you will connect it through a USB cable. And the second method, I will show you how to connect Cricut to computer using Bluetooth.

How to Connect Cricut to Computer via Bluetooth?

The best thing about connecting Cricut to computer via Bluetooth is that it frees you from clumsy wires. Currently, I have connected my cutting machine only via Bluetooth because I needed some space on my working table. So, below, I am explaining the detailed steps individually for both computers: Windows & Mac. Let’s start with a Windows computer first.

Windows

  1. First of all, your machine should be turned on and kept at a distance of 10-15 ft.
  2. Now, move to the Start button and select Settings
  1. After that, you have to click on Devices.
  1. Ensure your Bluetooth is ON, then hit the Add Bluetooth or other device.
  1. Next, you need to select the Bluetooth option and hold on for a while as your computer is looking for your Cricut Machine. As it appears in the list, select it to proceed.
  1. Finally, your machine is now paired, and you have successfully connected your Cricut via Bluetooth.

Mac

Here, I will explain how to connect Cricut to a computer via Bluetooth on a Mac computer:

  1. First, your computer must be turned on.
  2. After that, place the computer and machine within 10 to 15 feet.
  3. Next, move to the Apple menu and choose the System Preferences.
  1. Now, find the Bluetooth option on your Mac.
  1. Here, check whether the Bluetooth is ON.
  2. Then, you need to select your Cricut machine from the given list.
  3. Finally, you have paired your cutting machine with your Mac computer.  

How to Connect Cricut to Computer With USB?

Connecting Cricut to computer via a USB cable is one of the easiest methods to establish a connection. Due to this, I don’t have to follow those lengthy steps as I did in the previous one.

So, are you ready with your USB cable? You must have gotten the one while you were unboxing the machine. Despite this, you will need to follow each step carefully to connect your Cricut via a USB cable.

Here’s how to connect Cricut to a computer with USB:

  1. First of all, you have to power on the Cricut machine.
  1. Now, you will need to insert one end of the USB cable into the Cricut machine.
  1. Next, use the other end of a USB cable and plug it into your computer.
  2. Afterward, the power button of the Cricut machine should be lit up in white.
  3. After that, you must go to Design Space on your computer.
  4. Navigate to New Product Setup. Subsequently, you will notice that your Cricut machine is connected to the computer.

How to Setup a Cricut Machine on Windows/Mac?

 

In the above section, I explained connecting Cricut to computer via USB or Bluetooth. But do you know this is one part of a complete setup? While setting up the new Cricut machine, we have to connect it through Bluetooth or USB (that we have already learned above). Hence, it is now easier for you to complete your setup.
